Video: National Disability Insurance Scheme: getting started

In this video, parents of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) talk about getting started with the National Disability Insurance Scheme, or NDIS, when you’re making the transition from HCWA.

They give tips for your first meeting with an NDIS planner. They say the meeting is an opportunity to think about what outcomes you want for your child, and to plan therapies and activities for the year ahead. They say the NDIS system is personalised and user friendly.
