Midwifery has been Jenny's life since she completed her nursing and midwifery education in Bendigo in 1973 and 1975 respectively. She also completed Neonatal Special Care at the Royal Women’s Hospital in Melbourne, a Bachelor of Applied Science (Advanced Nursing/Nursing Education) and a Masters in Public Health at RMIT University in Melbourne.

For many years Jenny taught midwifery at La Trobe University in Bendigo. Part of her role involved working and teaching in the clinical area each week. She now lives in Darwin, working at Charles Darwin University as midwifery educator, and continues to work regularly in maternity at Royal Darwin Hospital.
