Video: Connecting and communicating: 18-35 months

18-35 months

This video shows how communicating with toddlers helps them learn and develop. Talk to your child as you do everyday things and get your toddler talking to you. For example, talk about the size, colour and shape of household objects. Asking questions about what children are doing encourages them to try new words too.

Lots of talking is also good for your child’s self-esteem and for your relationship with your child.
